Hi! My name’s Joel — I’m a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, currently at Topgolf Callaway Brands and based out of San Diego.

At my core, I am both a developer and a designer, with a unique blend of frontend development expertise and a passion for interaction design which drives me to create innovative and high-quality deliverables that enhance user experience and engagement.

I graduated from UC San Diego in 2019 with a B.S. in Cognitive Science (emphasis in Design and Interaction) and a Minor in Computer Science. My technical skillset includes proficiency in React, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ES6, and Java. Additionally, my skillset in interaction design includes user interviews, wireframing, and heuristic evaluation, implementing tools such as Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and Figma.

Outside of work, you can usually find me at a concert, at the gym, or at home watching movies. I also love to travel, and like to pretend to be good at sports (especially golf).
